PayStream provides payroll and accountancy service to contractors. We helped the company establish their online services with a website at www.paystream.co.uk, online applications for calculating PAYE and salary payments and a secure members area. The website is built on our bespoke content management system and allows PayStream to update their website in-house using minimal technical ability.

The online calculator uses XML to exchange data between the live website and the internal bespoke accountancy software providing site visitors with an example pay calculation. Given the complex nature of the calculations and security considerations, the service was developed and hosted on our secure hosting platform using SSL encryption to protect users� information.

Visitors have the option to complete their full details online and register with PayStream. During this process, data is sent back to PayStream�s head office and welcome packs and confirmation letters forwarded to the individual.

To further extend the online service, we created a secure members portal. Once an application has been approved, the website exchanges more data with the in-house systems and automatically sends a welcome email and login details.

The secure area allows contractors to view information about their pay prior to payment being made. This means they can query any issues early. The website also generates PDF payslips for users to download for future reference.

The system sends bulk text messages to alert contractors about their payments and when to expect them. This has proved invaluable in cutting down the number of enquiries to their call centre.
