KAT UK approached Carpe Diem after having being disappointed with a recent website redevelopment by another company which had resulted in their website losing visitors and search engine performance.
We were tasked with reviewing the site from a UX/UI point of view and consulting on developing a content and navigation strategy that would better meet the website requirements.
Our approach was to review the existing website UX/UI (user experience, user interface), design and Google Analytics to understand what had caused this.
Having understood the issue, and making recommendations for improvement, we proposed to evolve the existing site design and content to improve the user shop experience and simplify the journey to content throughout the site.
By evolving the site design, the website became more customer focused, increasing engagement all round, which resulted in significant site performance improvements:
By developing a content structure for the site, we were also able to develop product templates and define the range of products that KAT manufacture so that they are easily recognised by site visitors.
By integrating a Partners area of the website, KAT design centres and retailer partners have greater access to marketing, support and product information, enabling them to sell better.
We also recommended developing a series of promotional videos that could be used on the website and as part of a social media strategy and the development of retail support videos that will be used on YouTube.
