Statestrong website & brand development

Statestrong wanted a brand and website design that lived up to their reputation as a world-class manufacturer of Health & Beauty, Household, Automotive and Industrial products

For over 40 years, Statestrong has been innovating, formulating and manufacturing aerosol and liquid products for a wide variety of markets across the world. During this time, little attention had been paid to their brand.

Project Overview
Statestrong wanted a new brand and website that represented British manufacturing, design and quality. The brand needed to attract new overseas clients from international markets whilst embodying a regal heritage that is associated with UK manufacturing.

We worked with Statestrong to define the website brief and focused on developing a website that conveyed their products in much higher esteem. Ensuring products and brands are easily found online was a key development criteria.

As well as developing the brand and website, new corporate stationary, digital document templates, company brochure, banner stand and exhibition displays have all be created.

The Results
A strong brand needs a strong icon that represents pride, courage in overseas markets and a determination to deliver quality. After exploring several routes, an iconic ‘lion’ was developed. The ‘Lion’ was teamed up with a classic typeface. Together, the components create a striking and memorable brand that has received praise from Statestrong customers, both new and existing.

Creating a product description template brought uniformity and a standard to product information, enabling the site content to be developed efficiently. Product photography was completed in our in house studio, which further strengthened the implied quality of the products.

A responsive website wireframe was created, ensuring that all elements of the content and product specifications would be translated into the website design.

The design of the website differentiated Statestrong from its competitors both in terms of quality and style. By developing the website to be responsive, mobile and tablet users (which were accounting for 30%+ of site traffic) would now be met with a site that met their expectation of an international company.

Combining all the elements of the brand and product photography into a stunning brochure was the next task. We created a landscape brochure that allowed the products to take center stage. The brochure, being the main focus of exhibition marketing needed to be something a little special, which was achieved by foil embossing the logo onto a rich, thick, quality GF Smith stock charcoal paper and held together with screw fasteners for easy page changes and updates. The final result was a truly striking brochure.

The final element of the brand relaunch was designing an exhibition and banner stand that would showcase the new brand at Cosmoprof, Bologna.
